Spring is a time for new beginnings, birth, and rebirth.
We see this in nature as the flowers and the trees begin to bloom and the animals begin to mate.
It is a good time to do spring cleaning and organizing of your home/office.
It is also a good time to cleanse your body with a detox, a fast, or simply adding lemon to your water or concentrated green drinks rich in chlorophyll.
Getting your inner kingdom in order can help you and those around you.
Spring is associated with the wood element or phase in Chinese medicine. The wood element connects to your liver and gallbladder, the color green, the windy climate, the tendons in the body, your eyes, the emotion anger, and the virtue of kindness. The archetype is like a general who protects the heart (ruler) and assists with decision making and carrying out plans.
We must be mindful of the weather each day and dress appropriately. Keep some of your scarves and winter gear out a little longer.
As the winds blow and stir up any debris left behind by winter, the internal winds can stir up any unresolved physical and emotional health issues.
This can manifest as tremors, migrating pain throughout the body, headaches, joint pain, stiffness and cramping, digestive and menstrual issues, as well as certain addictions and other more serious conditions. Emotionally unresolved feelings of anger, resentment, irritability, or feeling stuck and depressed can also get stirred up during the spring season.
My personal journey and my professional experience have afforded me an intimate relationship with all of the characteristics associated with the body, mind and spirit and the spring season.
Please contact me if you are interested in self-help tools like a natural tea that can help strengthen the liver’s energy to assist in its detox and cleansing function and help your mind focus, a minty topical oil blend that can help with pain, inflammation, cramps, trauma (physical and mental) and can uplift your spirit, therapeutic exercises, qigong, meditation and other mind-body techniques to release, channel and transform anger and other stuck energies in the body or if you would like one on one assistance to accelerate your healing process and spring you forward on your life path.
This past year has been particularly challenging for many of us. Whether we connect in person or not, please know that myself and many of my colleagues are meditating to help end suffering and bring true joy into your life. Be open to receiving this healing light. Take a moment to be still, focus on your breath and be in the present moment.
Be grateful for anything and everything and make an effort to do something kind for yourself and for another.
Until next time…peace and love.
Wm.
